Where Does Peace Live?

There is a place where peace comes from, where true peace is possible, and that place is YOU! To some people this may feel impossible, because for most of your life, you have been programmed to think of yourself as bad, unworthy or less than. All through life you are consciously and unconsciously being programmed to look down on yourself and feel that others are somehow better than you. You are programmed to focus on the little wrongs that you do and use those to describe and label yourself. Such internal and external descriptions are met with resistance, for they are not the truth of who YOU are. Your true image of perfection, which you carry deep within, will not accept anything short of the acknowledgment of your divinity and perfection. Living your life focused on these perceived “wrongs” (as most of us do), results in internal confusion within, and is expressed as external anger and fear. You wind up living your whole life fighting to feel and be good or to be seen as good, when in essence, you are a fountain of goodness. Pure and simple. The truth of YOU is only Goodness.

Let me show you an example of how easily these things occur and incorrect labels are picked up. Humanity is one being, and we long to feel connected to each other. We want to feel like we belong, and are noticed in our individual communities and families. Here is a scenario that illustrates some of the common, yet mostly unknown factors that destroy our sense of uniqueness from a very young age. When a two-year-old child walks up to you in your shoes or dress what most parents mistakenly do is tell them how cute they look in their parents items. But in doing so, what they don’t realize is that they’ve destroyed the sense of uniqueness of the child. When the child takes on the belief that he or she gets recognition, or is somehow viewed as being better, by being like mommy or daddy they stop striving to be themselves. When this occurs, the child loses their hope for peace forever.  You may ask how that is so…

When the child gains the attention of their parents or adults by stepping into their “shoes”, it reinforces the child’s belief that he has to be somebody else to be seen or noticed.  In that moment the child negates his or her own identity in preference for someone else. We call this second image or the practice of spiritual suicide. To feel accepted, the child wants to be somebody else; he grows comparing himself with others as a means of evaluating himself. Consequently, fear and anger set in along with a sense of inadequacy. Check your life and you will notice areas where you have been trying to be like somebody else and your desires are based on what you perceive other people will consider as appropriate. Lost to yourself, you are dissatisfied, afraid and angry. Here is a positive solution to the common child growth issue we just discussed.

When a child walks up to you wearing your shoes or dress, ask him or her to bring you their own shoes and to put them on for you. Then affirm, ‘you are beautiful and wonderful in your shoes.’ The child realizes that he or she is appreciated for who they are. Never say, ‘your dress is beautiful.’ Such will make the child put the value on their possessions rather than themselves. Say, ‘you are beautiful in your dress.’ It is the child that is beautiful and not the dress. Simple as this is, you can imagine the huge difference this would make if known and practiced by mankind.

So what do we do? How do we effectively “erase” this past programming that all of us carry as a heavy weight on our shoulders? Wouldn’t it feel wonderful to allow our true self to shine through without this baggage? Fortunately this is very easy to do, with a simple and yet extremely powerful program. With this program, peace is possible… This simple, easy practice alone will change the world… Please take a stand with me by declaring: “Peace is possible in my lifetime!”

So let’s get started…

The program we are looking at today is a form of a larger body of work called Sacred Remembrance. When you focus of the good that you are and have been in life, by the laws of attraction; those things are magnified and multiplied in your life.  When you can recognize the great good that you are every day, you will begin to melt away the labels that you have been unknowingly accepting all of your life; you will not feel the need to fight for the “good that you are to be recognized or appreciated by others. The awareness of the good that is you becomes its own satisfaction. The sun does not cry out that it is bright, it just shines. Fully conscious of the good that you are, you just radiate it. All negativity, all internal and external fighting will cease, when you wake up to the magnificent good that you are. You are goodness itself and instead of being that, you are fighting for that good to be seen (both within and without) and there lies the confusion, misdirection and disease of humanity… Does this make sense so far?

Sacred Remembrance is a journey into your own magnificent goodness. It is a gift to yourself as well as the planet. It is easy, straight forward and should be run every morning and evening before bed… So this is what you should do…

The Practice

Every morning when you wake up think to yourself (or write down if you prefer) 10 good things you have been or done that week… All of the good that Life has been through you… This can be something as simple as a smile that you gave to a clerk in a store which you feel brightened their day. It can be the money you gave to your child to support their education which you know will give them the opportunity of a “better” life. It could be something like visiting a relative at the hospital which brightened their day. All that is important here is that you focus on what you “believe” the other person felt or the benefit you “perceived” that they experienced from your act of good, no matter how big or small. Please be sure to do this every morning.

Every evening before you go to sleep, think of the good things (or write down if you prefer) that you have been or done that day… They can be things such as helping your neighbor carry in their groceries, or doing something thoughtful for your husband or wife.  Simply recall the good you are until you come to the truth that you are a fountain of goodness. Really know and feel this as the truth of who you are. Please do this every night before sleep.

In a very short amount of time you will begin to see ALL of the wonderful good you bring to the world through you. You will quickly get to a point where you are overwhelmed by the amount of goodness that exists as and through YOU!

The Power of Positive Focus

By focusing your attention on these “good acts”, they will amplify in your life… NOW, just for one moment picture how one good act from you can reach out to more than the initial recipient and amplify through the world. Consider for a moment how something as small as a smile you gave to that clerk in the store which brightened their day can impact thousands of people; the other employee at the store who benefited by the improved mood of their coworker; they in turn go home and do something nice for their husband; they in turn feel better and do something nice for their neighbor; they in turn feel better and do something nice for their children etc. etc. etc.  The multiplying effect of each act of good continues through your lifetime and beyond and this enlarges what and who you are. The “good” that you are indeed reaches to the world. Isn’t that a magnificent thought!

This small practice alone has the ability to change your life and the life of those around you; ultimately bringing peace to the world! All of this through YOU, and your natural acts of goodness; no matter how small and insignificant they may seem, each has the ability to change the World! I personally thank you for the beautiful contributions you make to humanity each and every day.

There is one more point I would like to make, before we wrap up this discussion. We all find that it is so much easier for our minds to accept the bad labels we’ve attached to ourselves, than the good that we are. That is why focusing our attention on the goodness of us is so important. We also find it necessary to win over our logical mind. This is why affirmations - while wonderful, can often produce slow results; our logical mind which is based on perceived “facts” and history, will often disagree with our positive affirmations if it doesn’t believe them to be “true”, thus slowing our progress. However, by focusing on the good that you HAVE been and HAVE done, your logical mind says YES this is true.  I am this and I have done that… Do you see the difference?

So I hope you can clearly see how Sacred Remembrance will bring peace and joy to you, and then through you touch the world! If you can count these blessings that reach you and bring to mind your moments of reaching out to life, you will become conscious of how rich and magnificent you are. Cosmic good journeys through time, energy, space and circumstance to reach you; and your single act of good has a rippling effect on life. Allow yourself to step into cosmic experience and awareness. As the first recipient of the good you send out to the world, your life becomes a living blessing and a miracle.

The practice I have shared is enough to transform your life. However, if you want to go deeper, take a course in Sacred Remembrance today.
